Ever had those days where for no reason, you were feeling emo?
Ever had those days where after a very enjoyable day has passed, you suffer from the withdrawal of the fun activities?
The few outings i had the previous week left me with emotions that resembles that of the latter condition. Somedays, you feel v happy going out with friends, and bored on others. I am glad that the previous few outings were not boring to me at all despite doing nothing much. I don't know if the rest are having as much fun as me, but i was definitely enjoying myself.
Maybe too much time has been spent aimless, such that when i start to spend some time with a purpose, it becomes very fruitful. It is actually rather simple to see if everyone is having fun, or if they aren't.
Those who enjoy
Who participates actively in the conversation? Who are intrigued by the topic of the conversation? Who are bringing in topics common to the conversation? Who exclaims every once a while? Who is making suggestions to extend the duration of the outing?
Those who don't
Constantly checking their hp, watch. Smsing others or are always on the phone. Looking at the time. Not participating actively, losing touch of what is being discussed. Not the first one to agree on any suggestions, and more of mm-ah-orh. Basically, who wants to go off early, or hope that the outing ends fast.
The list goes on and on.. maybe you all can help to fill it up.
So now, the question is, if you don't feel like going out when they are planning an activity, should you just reject it from the start? If you had already agreed to be present, should you give last minute excuses and ultimately not turn up? Should you turn up but spoil the atmosphere? Or should you treasure the time spent, and try your best to make yourself interested in the activity?
I am sure everyone knows the best answers.
If you don't like what is planned, you can of course voice your opinion and GIVE SUGGESTIONS. Don't make it seem like everyone must follow what you want since you are not THE PLANNER, or alternatively take over the planning. The planner has every right to ignore you and in fact tell you not to come.
I prefer to turn up and try my best to be interested in the activity. I won't mind if you are stoning through out the activity, as long as you don't disrupt it. However, if too many participants are stoning, the planner should seriously take a look at the planning lols.
Bottomline is, i just want to go out and enjoy the company of friends, and i hope no one will spoil the day for me.
