I do like weekends, but the time spent during weekends is not meant for myself. There are always times when i hope that i can totally lock myself up in my own room (which i don't) and totally be oblivious to the world ard me, just like back at hall. This way, after having enough time to myself, i can start work studying, or doing other stuff.
With people around, it just isn't efficient trying to study. So much ambient noise, people walk ard distracting you. Ok, we have conversations, but at the cost of me concentrating. When i constantly cannot concentrate, then what is the point? Sianz... Another week of futile effort of trying to catch back up to school...
The one who succeeds in conquering the tough times will bask in the spotlight.

What a happening week...
It has been about a week, a hectic week of chionging, rotting, mugging or trying to mug.
Everyday is quite full of activities, or i had been able to fill it up and not feel sian.
Friday night was boring for me as i had very little time for myself. The moment i went home, everything is suddenly thrown at me. Where to bring my aunt around for sat, where to eat, and how to spend the day. Why is such planning always given to me? Can't my parents do it? (they quarreled over it). Can't my brother do it? (probably cuz i always get the job done) But ultimately, my mom chose a place, after frequently disturbing me from trying to study and do a tutorial. So i gave up and just watched anime.
Saturday morning was spent running at a blistering speed, which i am still quite content that i was able to do 10min for 2.4km at this point in time. I thought that i would totally be a joke on the track already. I tried to do some work in between, but i turned out to be too tired and so i just did some of it and slept the rest of the time. Went out for an early dinner, eating Bah Kut Teh and Curry Fish head. I found it edible but not amazing. So i shall not really recommend it. What was really the highlight of saturday to me was the marina barrage. It was damn fun to see the 1001 kites flying above the marina barrage. Everyone was enjoying their time there, and i was absorbed into the atmosphere. Kids were running around, families had picnic, couples enjoying each other's company. I felt like i could spend an eternity there, just chill into the night.
Sunday was spent going around conducting a GARANG GUNI. Driving the lorry around was absolutely fun. Driving around on manual gears was an experience that i had not experienced since the day i got my licence. Of course it was tiring. If anyone said that we were slacking on the lorry, HELL NO. There were many times when we went to the block where 1 person was guarding the stuff, and the few of us loaded the stuff up. It was a shag experience. But it was a great experience. I don't mind driving around again the next garang guni!
Monday was long, but it had HW110, which was a nice lesson to me. Hearing proper english coming out from the tutor's mouth and class participation. The lectures just make me HUH at all of the stuff. Sians, need to spend 101 effort in grasping the upcoming knowledge. Swimming 25 laps after totally dipping in pools for so long, that was a notable achievement i guess? haha.
Everyday is tiring, insufficient sleep, sleep debt yet to be repaid. Doing work that cannot complete, stacks of shit piling up, it is just so frustrating. I still want to have fun! But everyone is not free anymore, and even myself. I still look forward to days where i won't feel alone.

Feeling so lethargic and lazy
What am I doing at a swimming pool, not swimming but using my laptop and surfing the internet?
It is the 2nd week i am doing this already. Actually, if i could, i would prefer not to even step into the swimming pool! I am here because my brother needs someone to accompany while he goes for his swimming lesson. Any logical person would come to the swimming pool to swim right?
Yes, that was what i did for the past year or so. When my brother came along with me, i would more or less dip in water, probably swim around a little. Clocking abt 20 laps each time. However, with his current schedule, it is now impossible to make it back to camp in time if he came to swim. As a result, i lost a swimming partner. From, 20 laps or just dipping in water, to totally not entering the water. Man... how about totally not coming?
I only finished what is required for monday, maybe tonight i should gather some pesticides to bath and wash away all the lazy bugs. If i don't do something about this, shit will start piling up again. When its gets too high, despair will set in again. Maybe i shd start reading the lecture notes again tonight and start working on some tutorials needed for wed and thur.

AVATAR
My blog has been silent for a while already, and since i have watched the avatar movie, i was fascinated by the CG of the movie and the concept of the world of Pandora. Whats more, the movie main soundtrack. "Leona Lewis - I See You"
Anyone who wants to listen to the song or watch the MTV can just click on the right side. I feel that the show is awesome, and the music is undeniably nice too. However, i do not really suscribe to their "earth messiah who comes to save an alien planet" idea. This is a sure win fomula, but we have seen it so many times already. I wonder if it could be done with another plot.
Cool machines, advanced technology, environmentally friendly natives, humans reaching out to aliens... o.0 quite a lot of genres are covered within 1 show. HOW NOT TO WATCH!

1st day of semester 2
Oh i dread school. It has started all over again. Gone are the times when i can rot whole day and yet have nothing to worry about tomorrow. Although I am still doing that now? Lol. First week is still quite slack. However, it is time to gather back the momentum and push on. I must work much harder this sem, probably like what a lot of other people are putting as their resolution for this sem too.
I realised why i was granted 22 AUs without even asking for it or requesting overloading. They were interested in offering me the accelerated bachelor's programme. Which seems to be offered to those who seem on the way to get 2nd uppers or above. However, with me sustaining this score not due to my core subjects, but due to the electives and other not so important subjects, I think its a crazy option that i should not even consider. After all, it will be a futile effort.
Still don't have the momentum to push on yet... i still have a long way to go...

School is starting.. and i have 22 AU registered...
For some reason, 22 AUs isn't considered overloading?
Hence i have 2 electives registered on top of my cores.
EE8086 Astronomy
CS119 Fictional Films from Hollywood to Bollywood.
I wonder should i carry on with 22 AU? or shd i drop 1? I am in a dilemma... I think that i cannot cope, and yet there is a possibilty that i could overcome this.
With these 2 added in, my timetable has 1 day that starts at 0830 , everyday ends at 1630 and 1 day at 1830. LIFE SUX with this kinda time table. NO FREE DAY LEH! I cannot stand this....
Friday is lecture galore. 2 in the morn 2 in the late aftn. WTH stupid time table...
If i drop EE8086 i will have wed afternoon free, which isn't really all that great either.
This sem absolutely sux....

IRIS worth watching
The recent korean drama that has finished airing in korea somewhere in december.
The story is about consipracy that goes beyond national boundries, betrayal, and of course love triumphing through the tough times. I have not seen the ending, as there are no subtitles yet. Full of action, fighting, torturing, gunshots, high speed chases and car stunts. I like the music too.
What is not to like about pretty actresses and handsome actors? Lee Byung Hun too, wow another super star. I like the way he acts. The actress Kim Tae Hee is from the movie 200 pound beauty. That show was quite a joke for me to watch haha.
Ah, but some pretty faces are pretty lame too. Lolz a handsome boy (figure it out urself) putting on mascara walking cooly around assasinating people, i find his role quite dumb. However brief is his appearance, he definitely had quite a lame scene each time.

Why are humans affected by mood?
Only quite recently and for most of the time in uni, did I start asking myself this question.
Why are my mood and emotions so easily affected? How did i last through the past few years? I don't remember that i was facing such a problem in the past? If i ever did, it was due to quite a specific problem that i can pin point and it doesn't last for long.
However, this has been going on and off for the duration of uni already. Is it study stress? Is it the need to always fill up my time with some activities? I can't get used to the life during the holidays where i don't really have to meet deadlines or chiong some studies?
Well its not true that i'm not filling up my time with activities. I did have plenty of activities, and going out with lots of peps. However, it just didn't quite feel enough. Whenever a day ends, i feel quite sad as it is time to transit to the next day. However, nightfall is also when almost everyone is home, and almost everyone is free.
I do not like my current lifestyle, and i do wish to change towards a lifestyle which is less reliant on others. Maybe i will have to start getting used to doing more things alone and yet achieve a high efficiency. After all, everything is done for my own benefit.
