Here comes the next batch of BSLC trainees. I am not used to seeing the blocks opposite us to have lights leh. Cookhouse suddenly became so packed with people and long queues. Not to mention, the food servings sometimes do become a bit lesser due to the cookhouse fearing insufficient food for everyone. People singing songs when marching around with enthusiasm, something which we are well sick of.
When we were at the bunk "slacking" waiting for our lecture to start, we saw them streaming to their coyline slowly. Some excited trainees naturally shouted "WELCOME TO SISPEC! WOOOHOOO! Clap Clap Clap". Go back inside commanded a sergeant from the other company. Of course we comply right? So we sneakily spyed on them from inside our bunks.
My bunk overlooks the place where they always gather after eating before marching off. My sectionmates feel awkward that there are always people staring at them when changing or hanging clothes lol. Exposed!
Hmm, after a few days of surveying, i realise that their life is quite sad as compared to ours. This batch they had people who did not pass IPPT, and its quite a lot of them. For those who have poor physical fitness, it will be really terrible to keep up with the training. They have pt every morning, something which we seldom do. Haiz they are really suffering sia. I never had such long 5BXs (5 body exercises to wake u up in the morning) in the morning before.
But of course WE ASLC TRAINEES ARE SUFFERING too! Always outfield, i never seem to see my coyline much. It seems to be planned that way. To let the BSLC people think that our training is very shiong. And it indeed is. However, they don't really see us run SOC cuz they came in at week 4 of our course. I remember when i saw the ASLC last time, they were running SOC like siao. But i think outfields will have a greater impact on them.
This week was quite bing bing biang biang over le. It was ironically the week with the most life firings. So that lingo really fits. It feels long and yet kinda short, dunno how to explain but i am just relieved that i booked out.
OK forecast for next week, 32km route march and some fast march? Seems relatively slack, yet that single powerkiller is sufficient reason to grant us a slacker week. And i will go for the nyaa award ceremony in zombie form. Having not slept the night before enduring the gurelling march with "mental tenacity and determination". Damn CSB get it over and done with.
The one who succeeds in conquering the tough times will bask in the spotlight.

The hell of ASLC has started.
With the return of my PC, we are facing impending doom. While the other people are still slacking around we have begun preparing for our outfields. We are already preparing for our field camp while others haven't even heard of it lol. I guess this is efficiency too, to prepare early to ensure we don't screw up.
The pace of training will be substantially increased. With most of the Combat Skills Badge(CSB) components done, physical activities are potentially going to cease and outfields take over.
Next week i have 3 days of consecutive outfields. But 2 days are in build up areas. I heard that we will be shooting life rounds. So i guess it will be tiring but still fun.
More will be coming in the oncoming weeks.. time to start suffering already..

Happy Birthday to zw who just turned 19
Having booked out from camp with the last 4 days sleeping less than 5 hours a day, i am deadbeat. Somehow, i felt like i am under the effect of caffine though i didn't drink any coffee. I am able to be awake but albeit like zombie. About 1/2 of the stuff i listen don't register in my brain. Selective hearing, as it is termed.
As always, my coy is not very efficient. But it was quite reasonable for the recent live firing and navigation exercise. We completed the live firing faster than the other company but somehow slept later, which was not that gd =(. I was quite suprised that we were dispatched in waves back to coyline during the navigation exercise. The navigation exercise was the epitome of efficiency in my opinion. The earlier you finished the exercise, the faster you get to sleep.
Ok so i dragged home on sat and did stuff very slowly and inefficiently. I digged for wrappers to wrap zw's present. Oops, the present was too big for a single wrapper, so please forgive the poor wrapping. Inexperienced wrapper, so i shall train more in future.
Going out today to TCC in citylink was quite fun. We all talked a lot, spent a lot and hogged the seats for a long long time lol. We stayed there from like 7 till 10pm. The turnout today was surpisingly good and i seriously hope spas group will continue to meet up in future. I am sure that everyone enjoyed themselves today.

On going (Standard Obstacle Course) SOC at sispec.
Ok, the training schedule is so well planned. I am so glad that out of the 7 weeks we have in Singapore, 3 of them, we book out and in on sunday. The other 4, saturday mid-day. Oh yes i must mention that the saturday bookout might even be conditional.
To book out according to the schedule, you must not miss any physical training, (confirm make up 1) and pass with flying colours in the physical criterias that are veto factors to pass the course.
Some examples timings we must score:
Standard Obstacle Course (SOC) 9:29 to book out/9:59 to pass
IPPT (Fitness Test like Napfa but tougher) 2.4km 9:44
10km Endurance Run 60min
Our training schedule is very physically demanding and enough to kill us already. My OC is happy to explain that we must do route marches often to get used to the weight of the field pack. "GENTLEMEN, you will need to extra fitness as your field pack will be heavier than what it is currently" He will not indent transport when we come back from field camp site. WTF. Field camp is BAD enough already. Shagged already still want to push us somemore. Doesn't he know that muscles need to recover?
Outfield training is shiong, as everyone knows it. Even better, its imperative to do our drills properly, and they will be demanding a lot from us here. As such, BUY KNEE GUARD...HIGH KNEEL.. PRONE.. CASERVAC. I definitely will live through this crazy period. Its just that i can't mentally adapt to this yet. CRAZY CRAZY!
How many people OOC (out of course)? Actually i am quite suprised that its still relatively little. I was expecting massive OOCs. But people seems to be afraid of the sai-kang that they will get also. I also want to OOC but not injured enough. That doesn't mean that i should get injured just to OOC. I still want to get out alive and in 1 piece.

Wondering y my previous post so short?
Actually i too lazy to write everything in detail. There is just so much to type. Having been in low spirits no thanks to being in DELTA ASLC, i can't seem to make myself fill up the blank screen. I will be more glad to tell u the story instead of typing it out here. Moreoever, my holiday overseas has shortened the time i can spend on the computer. Hence, i prefered to play games for now (o.0).
Life is short and so is the ASLC course. Why does everyone want to avoid it? Cuz its the most advertised course in BSLC, come to think of it its just a change of B to A. Even though there are other more jia lat courses, why does everyone just hate ASLC? Cuz we can see with our own eyes how many outfields they have, erm bunk = resort? ASLC has the most co-relation with BSLC and we can see the stuff we do in BSLC being done worse in ASLC.
Hence, psychologically we are disturbed. Being in a shiong company, sent more jolts down our spine and also up to our head.
Reminder by previous batch: Knee Guard, you will need it. Yes i am sure i rather protect myself than get the SAF compensation.
Oh yes thanks to the Cpl who likes SAR21 so much, the security at my camp is such a pain now. Kaoz for nothing kena delay 10 min for checks. Btw he reach CPL = responsible for his own actions liao not anyone else fault wat. Why must we suffer for his actions too? An isolated case not equals to everyone must suffer right? Haiz from hero to zero...
