Next interesting Kdrama

I am sure most people have heard of the Taiwanese Yori Dango or rather 流星花园。 Probably you have heard of the Japanese version too. However, my favourite is the Korean Version. If you didn't know, it first started from the japanese manga/anime industry.

Well, many dramas do come from manga/anime adaptations. The taiwanese Itazura Na Kiss is another one of them. Well since I never really liked Taiwanese drama, and Kdrama has been good for me so far, so I support Kdrama! Although the storylines can be repetitive, I still prefer korean acting style than Taiwanese. Japanese is good too, though they rely more on talking and large body actions vs more subtle korean acting. But Yori Dango Jap version has actors that isn't really eye-candy. Hence Kdrama wins... Ah but girls in Kdrama tend to be more "manly" lolz or maybe its just so in the romance dramas that i watch...

Exams up next... 1 more week to prepare.. life is sad sia.. but heh 1 subject can be done la.. swiss cheese brain.. time to plug the holes.

Quiz 2 is over

Ok, the 2nd quiz is much easier than the first one. However, the score system is based on bell curve ultimately right? Therefore, if everyone can score well then, it is quite futile to score well in this test.

This quiz is good for those who did study hard. If you made an effort to read through the notes and remember the pointers, you will score. Therefore, it seems to reward those who attended the lectures.

It is time to start preparing for the exams already. Can't believe its so soon, 10 June. In terms of weeks, it seem really fast. In terms of amount of days left, about 2 to 3? In terms of preparation for the exam? Nought.

So, to unwind and "reward" myself, I spend many hours watching the Korean drama "The vineyard man" from scv. The lead actress is the same from another drama, "Palace". Hmm, i find this actress is fit for roles in romance with a v rocky ride. Probably there are many much more stuff to do.. I shall rot for today. Useless lol..

1st quiz and i'm done

Well, I screwed up the calculation on the first step OMG NO!!! I hope i can at least get method marks for it. 1 out of 2 marks at least please, I got the concept =(

But the rest of the questions should be ok, or at least i hope. I really don't want a bad score on the first module. It will totally ruin my stay there. Start with a wrong foot, and it will suck all the way.

I hope the module will continue to be friendly to me, and it remains interesting to me. It is after all great knowledge to acquire and if i comprehend it completely, will be of great value in my line of work.

Frustration.

Tomorrow I am having a quiz on the electricity for modern society. So today, I wanted to mug at least a bit to help my calculations in the upcoming quiz. So i chanced upon this textbook i got from e-prep and started doing some questions on electricity.

Ok, I can do the straight forward questions. Then, came the intermediate questions. WTF screwed up big time! Took so much time to figure it out. And, most of the time its different methods to use the formula and new concepts that i havent really been spending time to read it up as i deem it unimportant. This is such a disaster for my morale. Hence, I am blogging here instead of further studying. U know, this sense of defeat freakin sux. I haven't felt like this since i repeatedly flung math in JC.

Total disaster... Still feel like mugging hard?

School starts

The Special Term for me has started. I wonder what is so special such that this term should be named special. The number of students who wanna feel special and pay $500-$600 per subject sure are few and far in between. Oh well, I guess I am one of those who wanna feel special lolz.

I must once again state my agenda for going into uni early. It should be more or less the same as those others who are doing the same thing as me.
1. Don't wanna work.
2. Feels that we need to warm up and start studying.
3. Wanna take less subj in main term.
4. Take our own sweet time and study.

Well, my class as expected, has a class size of only about 40 people. So with my spying ability today, I found out that the guy sitting in front of me is in EEEng. 2 friends i made today are from 3rd year English Lit and newbie Econs. The 2 girls sitting behind me 1 is in ChemicalEng and another is in Art Design Media. And, the ADM girl is having problem understanding the course. Well of course, despite the course being a more informative than technical course, it is still very engineering based. o.0 pretty diverse population. They need to fulfill their GERPE criteria, and usually you would choose something from another faculty, unlike me lolz.

Steam turbine... generator... transmission lines... AC current... transformers... PV panels... well if these don't ring a bell to you, i guess u do belong in the arts faculty lolz.

But there are quite a lot of things new to me too.. such that I feel a lot of stuff needs to be memorised. To understand, to memorise and i will be able to score it seems...

People sure are friendly... well if you are approachable or at least seem like someone you can talk to. Talking is contagious, you can easily pull someone into a conversation if you are having one with another person and someone happens to be nearby. I guess this is also so in JC, but I guess I wasn't making an effort.

So.. its time to divide the course materials trash them and conquer the tests...
