But it pays $5.50/hr only without CPF. I feel like i am exploited. The working environment is ok and its air-con. What i do is to seperate the pieces of foam from a sheet that was cut. So its simple easy bitsy work.
I don't know why but my finger skin cracking from the low humidity in HK is suffering more now since i am doing manual labour. I think i must put more lotion again. Haiz... pathetic fingers.
In comparison to zhengwen, i think i am better off lol. At least its 8:15am till 5.30pm and probably i need do OT tomorrow and friday. HOWEVER, i have to leave at 6am in order to reach jurong east MRT at 7.30am. Freaking early.
AHH but still it beats not working ^_^.

Back from Hong Kong with wonderful memories

Unfortunately, my stay in Hong Kong has ended. It is 10 days and although i didn't really felt interested in going to the places i went... somehow the memory was damn nice being stored in my brain.
The first 4D3N i stayed at newton inn hotel in Hong Kong Island, North Point. Its a nice location and it is close to where my relatives are staying too. So we always shuttle between the hotel and my aunt's home.
The climate averages at 16 deg C and humidity of 50-60%. The dry cold wind really cracks lips and dry hands, so some people may need lip gloss and definitely skin lotion. You also need thick jackets. Any of the jacket you can buy in singapore except those meant for cold countries... i can confidently say that none of them will be enough.
A large room with a dining area too. And i sleep on the sofa bed.

Hong Kong's land is expensive and so are the costs of a home. Therefore, my auntie lives in a studio apartment. But her home's facilities are far better than that of a hotel, as we can cook and use internet. So i msn home and converse with my family in Singapore for free, using the internet. Haha, no exorbitant prices from starhub or HK telecom compaines.
After that, i moved to my eldest Uncle's home and spend the rest of the 6 days there. The room i sleep in is constantly 20 deg C. Pure air-con sia... and of course i need to tuck myself under a quilt blanket an inch thick. Everyday, i soak in the bathtub ahh... sibei shiok.
For your info, eating middle class is cheaper in HK than in singapore. Even if you yumcha in a restaurant, it averages at S$8/person. If you go to those very high class one, maybe S$15/person or so. Man, why we have to pay so much in singapore. There is a food outlet called "cafe de coral" which offers food at the cost of between macdonalds and pastamania. The food is quite good too.
I got a tourist 24Hr ride all you can ticket on the MTR ( = singapore MRT). So i rode to the ends of the lines.
A Guide
- Tung Chung has factory outlets of nike.. adidas.. levis.. oh cheap goods. And you can visit Mr Buddha from here. Btw the cable car is HK88 for a return trip.. don't pay travel agencies to let u pay more.
- Tsuen Wan has nothing much... just like anywhere in HK.
- Kwun Tang has a shopping centre and toys 'r' us but its pretty much useless too unless you like seeing schools.
- Po Lam has a big shopping centre with many branded labels with damn cool discounts. If you don't like Causeway Bay and Wanchai squeeze i suggest Po Lam.
- Causeway Bay and Wanchai is good shopping outlets like SOGO and others.
- I went to Jordon... MongKok... YauMaTei... TsimShaTsui all these are tourist areas at kowloon. However, especially good places are the 男人街 & 女人街 (not exact street names)... a street for shoes too... and of course 庙街.
- ShamSuiPo - Apuliu street is good for shopping for toys and electronics... man damn cheap toys. I saw RC submarines going for S$10 and S$40. RC ships, planes and helicopters.. from as cheap as S$20 till S$300+.
All these are mainly the places i went.
I went to see Mr Buddha too. But he played tricks on me. On top of the mountain was cold.. about 13 deg C i presume... and high humidity. So when i talk, there was a mist! Albeit like those korean drama those people talking during the winter.

Boardgames at my house and cheating little children..
After spending the day out with some of my cca friends, cy and his botak friends lan gaming at parklane... i met spas at my house.. which i am not suprised that only a few came... and we played boardgames!
well its actually just RISK and MONOPOLY.
I think boardgames are cool to bond people but not so often... as we got bored after a while. Then as my bro was making his own rules in monopoly... the rest of the spastic people unleashed their childish behaviour and totally messed up the game. Fortunately i wasn't playing or else i might go mad. I wonder whats wrong with them maybe they drank alcohol to be so "high" while playing a boardgame.
Fortunately, my bro is not so dumb as to be tricked by them. Yingxia was laughing so badly.. ziqian was acting dumb and zw was hiding his smirking face... BOTTOMLINE... crazy.
They left quite late.. close to 12 and i wondered how long they waited b4 the taxi came... anyway... it started to rain cats and dogs soon after they left... did they become souped up chickens?

I think my temp job is a painter...
So far i have been painting 4 days already this week.. and first 3 days was on the cupboard as stated in the previous posts... and today.. painting ceilings with emulsion paint. If u wonder wat that is.. it is a kind of paint meant for the exterior of a building.
Actually i think its quite retarded to use an exterior paint for the interior. But i got a whole bucket and i mean BUCKET of it. I suppose its 50 litres of the paint. As a result, my stairwell now has a white ceiling and many parts of the house too. I am itching to paint my room, but it was only done 2 years ago... i'm lazy doing it too.
After today i still have to paint my dad's room. I wonder if i should do it. Its taking up so much of my time and i am not very pleased to end my holidays painting walls. I got better things to do than painting walls.
Recently just the last week, i have a thirst for playing BF2142. Probably coz i unlocked a lot of stuff that helps me to kill people and i feel satisfied lol. No longer getting pawned by others continously. Gaming is wasting time... but its not really that bad actually.

Operation "paint my room"
The cupboards are a pain to paint. They may seem simple to paint, but without masking tape... you can say hi to bottles of thinner spent on removing stay bits of paint. The paint is called "legend blue" and i find the colour a bit legendary. It is very bright sia.
Day 1 i learnt my lesson and went out to buy some tape. I painted 4 cupboard doors and 5 drawers. Damn the carpenter, why put a design on the cupboard that is so difficult to paint. It is probably difficult to cut too.
It is already day 2 today and i have completed 65% of the stuff. If you are wondering why it requires 3 days, its because each day i can only do so much within 6 hours. Sleep late, after lunch then start work. C'mon i don't want to eat with paint on my hands. And morning hours are good time to slack and surf the net. Another reason is so that the paint is dry enough for me to put the doors back before i sleep.
Man its difficult task, i should had done it when zw and xuming came to help. It was a far cry from the boring grey that was the original colour. Hmm once i finish painting the whole cupboard then i shall post a pic.

Yet another day that drifted by without encountering fig 11.
In case u are wondering... fig 11 is the term used in the army for a full sized human target board. MY friend smsed me saying he sacred do guard duty at 2 A.M. coz some people in his bunk already had some encounters.
This is 3rd hand story only, so it shd be quite accurate. They were supposed to fall in at night and one of his bunkmates saw a small boy wearing SVO while none of them are wearing while falling in. (o.0) unidentifed fig 11. There are many army and UF(ig.11)O encounters also. As a note of sarcasm, he sleeps next to the window. His greatest fear now is encountering fig.11 in the middle of the night. Now shall we all help him to pray? i think an amulet is insufficient.
Now back to my boring life.. played hours of BF2142 today though i haven really been playing it throughout the holiday extensively. Watched 2 DVD movies. This is not uber cool slack living. This is tormentation due to lack of activity.
As a personal promise, i shall paint my cupboard tomorrow. Its time to do something and stop doing nuts.

Life sux and its becoz of unemployment
Click on MSN... man so little people online. Weekend click on MSN... WHOA so many people online... but the key msn buddies are offline. So wtf.. nothing to talk about. Whole day keep hoping that my applications to jobs works.
Freaking bored.. just got new supply of movies and anime. They will at most last me this week before i exhaust them again. I think this kind of life sux.. but no choice.. all buddies are working and i cannot spend money leh... earn kosong spend like nuts... thats no way to live a life.
My resolution to paint my cupboard havent materialise. Got time to do nuts.. so i did nuts. I wonder if you have a scientific name for slacking involuntarily. I shall proclaim myself as "unfair unemployment". While others pray not to work.. or have a slacker job, i pray that i get a portion of their burden so they can create employment for me. So i can do inefficient work at the same time.

Unforgettable Lan experience
For so many lan parties, this is the one that everyone will remember best. First of all... CY and EDWIN came to my house at 4am, man thats 3 hours late compared to their stated time. Next, my house was infiltrated by a snake.
I cannot be sure what type of snake it was, but i presume its a juvenile python. We spend quite some time at 4am catching the python, which ends up seeking refuge in my store room. Its a labyrinth, and its almost impossible to catch that tiny weeny snake.
So we carried on our lan till day break and slept a while before continuing. I find it weird, by cy become attracted towards CS lol. He was quite sian of it actually, but dunno y we played it for almost the whole of the event. PISTOL FIGHT! thats wat we hear most of the time..

Welcome 2007... be gone 2006
Ah, first post of 2007.. its ironical that i am blogging here with zheng wen blogging beside me too. We are suppose to have a Lan party and its new year.. so its gd to spend the wee hours of 2007 gaming.
No alcohol no partying at my house ^_^. No bad hangovers, just a sleepless night. I am not the partying kind of person.. so attending Zouk out or countdown.. i dun think its interesting. Maybe if i go with a big group of people it will be more fun... but this kind of lifestyle... not me.
2006 has past, and the forecoming of 2007 reminds me that i am on the way to become a BOTAK. And of course, 1 1/2 months since the end of A lvls. I dun wanna get my results nor work already. Sian 1/2 find job job dun want me.
Wats there to reflect for 2006? Damn i wasted a year of my life not mugging. I think the rest of my life is going to be in deep shit. Hope 2007 will be a much better year.
