Ah Finally started blogging about my 10 days of trips. FREAKING A LOT OF photo!
Took a damn early UA flight to HK since it was cheaper this way. It only cost me $380 for a return ticket for a 6+am flight there and a 7+pm flight back. This way i could also maximise the day of arrival and departure. So, I embarked on this trip with my dad and 2 bros. For me to revisit some of the places i wanted to go and to show them around too.
So first on the schedule is the BUDDHA! After we checked in to the hotel at Mong Kok, we went straight to Tung Chung and went up Ngong Ping 360 to see the BUDDHA. Last time i came was in winter and it was constantly shrouded in clouds. Due to the high humidity, condensation of my breathe was immediate. Talking just became cooler haha. But this time i was there in spring where temperatures average 22 deg. As long as there is no sun, its constant air-con!
Going through the 72 tribulations, i reached the top of the peak to see the buddha. Damn the stairs, its a good exercise though. The cable car ride costs 96HK for a return trip lasting well about 20mins. Here's the catch, coming down by bus is more fun as on the upper deck u will be looking straight down the cliffs on the steep descend. Going down high speed, with high g-turns buses do like inital d!
Tung Chung is great for shopping of branded stuff. But don't really expect bargin prices as they are generally slightly cheaper for newer models. Kinda like authentic shop botiques but cuz its supposedly a factory outlet, it is cheaper. Oh, didn't ate dim sum today. DAMN, gotta try it soon.
