This drama series is about the romance between a celebrity and a writer. The writer grew up with his sister under the care of his "aunts" who are not related to him actually. They were abandoned by their mother who also stole money from the "aunts". The guy grew up to have a PHD in literature and lectured in the unversity, and later became an author.
As for the celebrity, she lost her family to the sea, and had a rough time from young. She grew up wanting love and attention, and she got it from the public by becoming a celebrity. So, somehow they met through a ghostwriting assignment, and a romance developed.
I especially like this romance as compared to the other cliched korean dramas. In this show, its the romance where the 2 parties stood by, and be true to each other that stood the test of time. All the others could not interfere, those who did failed miserably. And of course, in this show, the guy was kinda a jerk always being stubborn and obstinate. However, it did force the actress to be true to herself and stop lying to herself, or hurt themselves for the sake of the other party.
